MyLedgnd gets a complete makeover
MyLedgnd, the software portal of lighting consultant and data integrator Ledgnd, has undergone a major makeover. Not only has a new interface been developed, but the color scheme is also different from before. “But the most important thing is that the user-friendliness for growers is further increased,” says Maarten van Bemmel, Product Owner MyLedgnd.
With MyLedgnd, users’ greenhouse data is made transparent in a practical and simple way. This gives growers a clear picture of the different climate factors and their influence on the crop. Based on the data that MyLedgnd collects and analyzes, growers can then optimize their cultivation strategies.

However, due to the introduction of increasingly innovative techniques such as sensors and API’s with climate computers, Maarten van Bemmel of Ledgnd believes that it is important that all this information is also properly communicated and that the grower retains an overview. “That is why we have developed a completely new interface that ensures that MyLedgnd, despite the complexity of all the data, remains accessible and user-friendly.” According to Van Bemmel, MyLedgnd users should be able to easily link to other systems and should be able to determine for themselves which data is and is not imported. “With the new MyLedgnd interface, we give growers even more power over their own data, so that they can manage the data themselves and work with it independently. So we are going next level with MyLedgnd.”
Easy to use
MyLedgnd is a software and dataplatform from Ledgnd, the Dutch brand-independent lighting consultant and data integrator for greenhouse horticulture. Growers from all over the world are satisfied with the platform. For example the online dashboard, graphs and models, they gain insight into their greenhouse climate. The innovations in MyLedgnd are therefore based on the feedback that Ledgnd received from existing users. “We constantly ask our customers what the next steps are that they want, which integrations they find important and what else is missing. We then fill this in by introducing new functionalities. So we really develop everything in consultation with our customers. It is also important that the platform is logical to use and certainly not too complex. The user must be able to get everything out of it himself. Of course, we help where necessary with interpreting the data, but every grower should be able to get started with MyLedgnd with as little explanation as possible.”
Ledgnd has been working on the redesigned MyLedgnd for a number of months, says Van Bemmel. “First we talked to users, then we worked out a number of ideas and then we pitched them to them. This was followed by the design process, in which we kept tinkering until it was completely user-friendly. Only then did we start building everything in.” And it doesn’t stop at that new interface alone. The ‘look and feel’ of MyLedgnd is also changing. “We have chosen a new color scheme. Until now MyLedgnd was predominantly blue, just like Ledgnd’s house style. For the renewed environment we have chosen more shades of green, with which we also make a clear connection with horticulture.”
