Ledgnd x HortiSoccer World Cup Pool 2026 brings the horticultural industry together

New this year is the possibility for companies to create their own internal competition. Employees automatically compete in both the overall ranking and their company ranking.

This creates an extra layer of competition within companies themselves. It is not only about predicting which country will become World Champion, but also about who will earn the title of ‘King or Queen of Horticulture’ for the next two years.

“Football is hugely popular within the horticultural industry. During previous editions, we saw entire companies participate fanatically, creating rivalries between colleagues, customers and business relations,” says Ramón van de Vrie from Ledgnd. “With this renewed edition, we have expanded that feeling into a complete platform for the industry.”

The 2026 World Cup will be historic. For the first time ever, 48 countries will participate in the tournament. This will make it not only the biggest World Cup ever, but also the longest and most international football championship in history.

“The greenhouse horticulture industry is internationally connected. Companies work daily with partners, customers and colleagues all around the world. That is exactly why a global event like the World Cup perfectly fits our industry,” says Ramón van de Vrie from Ledgnd.

For 2026, the World Cup pool has received a completely new look and has been rebuilt with a strong focus on user-friendliness and mobile use. Users can easily submit predictions, follow rankings and invite colleagues.
