Daily Light Integral (DLI)

DLI

The Daily Light Integral (DLI) is a tool used to measure the total amount of PAR light that the crop receives over the length of a day (mol per day). It is a useful tool to assess the DLI per month in the greenhouse. This allows you to see the difference between summer and winter, as well as other seasons. Using this formula, you can determine how much additional P.A.R. is needed in seasons where your crop performs less. By supplementing with light, you can, for example, achieve the same light levels in winter as in summer. In this video we discuss DLI on a deeper level: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIMFWcLtCTs

DLI (Daily Light Integral) Calculator

The Daily Light Integral is calculated based on the PPFD (light intensity on the crop) and the number of lighting hours. Using our DLI calculator you can calculate how much DLI you receive from your lighting system. You can read more about the application of DLI in greenhouse horticulture in this article. Want to know how much DLI you receive from the sun per month?
