Knowledge session on plant response to LED lighting in tomato cultivation
Practical insights from Duijvestijn Tomaten
During GreenTech Amsterdam, Duijvestijn Tomaten, Agrolux, and Ledgnd are hosting an exclusive knowledge session at the Agrolux stand. In just 20 minutes, we’ll walk you through the results of a unique two-year study conducted at Duijvestijn Tomaten. A session packed with insights for growers looking to optimize their lighting strategy based on plant feedback and (micro)climate data.
In practice, applying LED lighting without knowing how your crop responds often leads to suboptimal results. The aim of this trial was to gain true insight into how the crop actually reacts to light and climate control. By combining data from various microclimate and crop sensors and plant feedback systems within the MyLedgnd platform, plant response became both tangible and measurable leading to remarkable insights
Practical information
Date: Wednesday, June 11
Times: 16:00 and 16:30 (two sessions)
Location: GreenTech – Agrolux stand (01.225)
Would you like to attend the knowledge session? We kindly ask you to register in advance and select a time slot, as space is limited.
Register using the form at the bottom of this page.
What to expect from the session:
- We’ll share the results of this two-year sensor trial.
- You’ll learn how to convert (micro)climate data into actionable insights for more efficient cultivation.
- You’ll receive practical tips on applying LED lighting in combination with plant feedback.
- We’ll discuss the future data needs for further optimizing LED strategies
During the session, we’ll dive deeper into identifying crop stress moments caused by lighting and climate. We’ll show how light and climate had a significant impact on both crop behavior and quality. We’ll also emphasize the importance of steering based on actual plant feedback rather than assumptions—a method that leads to better results and greater control over the cultivation process.
Knowledge session registration
