Richard van de Vrie is a co-founder of Ledgnd and currently serves as a member of its Advisory Board. In 2019, he partnered with Ramon, Joris, and Matthea to establish Ledgnd, driven by the shared conviction that innovation in greenhouse horticulture demands brand-agnostic LED lighting advice.

Richard brings years of experience in illumination technology and entrepreneurship. He founded LuxImprove, a company that fully manages clients’ lighting projects, and LUXeXceL, which specializes in 3D-printing plastic lenses and optical components.

Within Ledgnd, Richard plays an advisory role, contributing to discussions on strategy, innovation, and growth. Drawing on his track record in launching and scaling businesses, as well as his entrepreneurial mindset, he makes a valuable contribution to Ledgnd’s trajectory and development as a scale-up in the horticultural sector.
