Meet Ledgnd Naomi Visser

Naomi came into contact with Ledgnd through her previous employer. “I was looking for a new job and was approached by Ramón to take a look at Ledgnd. My first impression of Ledgnd was that it is a young and energetic company, where everyone is passionate about what they do, believes in the vision, and collaborates to elevate the company to the next level.”

Naomi, together with Jordi, is responsible for the projects. She frequently visits growers in the greenhouse; the first step is to assess the greenhouse. “We want to understand the layout of the greenhouse so that we know what to focus on when developing our recommendations. Once the lighting advice has been formulated, we visit the grower to discuss it and determine the next steps from there.” When it turns out that LED lighting is a viable option for a grower, Naomi assists with the purchasing process. “During this phase, we request lighting plans from suitable suppliers based on the grower’s requirements. We compare these lighting plans and decide which suppliers can proceed further in the purchasing process,” Naomi explains.

A typical workday for Naomi starts with a cup of coffee. “A typical day at the office begins with a cup of coffee and reviewing my to-do list that I made at the end of the previous day. I read and respond to some emails, after which I proceed with creating or fine-tuning various lighting recommendations.” After lunch, time is set aside to call growers and suppliers for status updates, or Naomi works on developing a trial setup. “At the end of the day, I check if there are any emails I need to read or respond to and make a new to-do list for the next day. In our project management system, I update some projects here and there. Then the day is done.”

Naomi is not in the office every day, she is often on the road as well. “When I’m out for the day, I usually have 2-3 appointments. This depends on the purpose of the meeting and the location.” Ledgnd has clients all over the Netherlands, so it can sometimes happen that Naomi is on the road all day, for instance, if she has to go to Limburg. “In such cases, it’s wise to schedule your appointments as efficiently as possible. If I know I have to visit two nurseries in Limburg, I plan them on the same day,” says Naomi.

Naomi appreciates the unique culture and work atmosphere that prevails within Ledgnd. The collaboration and shared passions of all Ledgnd colleagues within the team make every day special. “What I enjoy most about working at Ledgnd is that we work together to make progress and contribute to the sustainability of the sector.”

Naomi has a wide range of interests and loves trying new things. “I enjoy sports; it doesn’t really matter what kind of sport it is, I want to try everything. Additionally, I have a passion for music. I play the piano, take singing lessons, and perform regularly.” Naomi’s favorite vacation destination? Preferably a warm country. “I love going on holiday to Mediterranean countries. I adore the delicious food there, enjoy the culture, and, of course, the wonderful weather!”
